BRP-ROTAX MICRO MAX ENGINE CONQUERS THE KARTING SCENE

November 15, 2007

Gunskirchen, Austria, October 17, 2007 - BRP-Rotax, BRP\'s Austrian affiliate, demonstrated the 125 Micro Max engine at the 4th and final round of the ROTAX MAX EURO CHALLENGE 2007 held in Genk, Belgium on September 30th. The 125 Micro Max is the latest addition to the MAX family and it is designed for the passionate eight year olds and up drivers.

On Sunday a group of young local drivers (8 to 10 year old) gave a demonstration run on Genk\'s exciting kart track and grabbed the attention of spectators and competitors alike. These youngsters represent the next generation of karters to join the ROTAX MAX CHALLENGE.

The show race was completed with a raffle. The prizes were one junior karting outfit and one entry pass for the 2008 season. In addition, every participating kid was given a BRP-Rotax T-shirt and cap. They will never forget the day where they could showcase their skills and potential to a big audience.

Sales manager for the kart business at BRP-Rotax, Christian Mundigler, explained the BRP-Rotax kart engine evolution concept: \"We started the 125 MICRO MAX project at BRP-Rotax to offer kids fun, encourage their skills, inspire their emotions, and raise family teamwork. I am proud to be part of this project! The ROTAX MAX EURO CHALLENGE 2007 was a perfect location to show the world our race drivers of tomorrow – our MICRO MAX kids. Fairness, safety, reliability, and real sportsmanship are our fundamental values and it is important to engrain them in our young racers from the very beginning.\"

With minor upgrades, the MICRO MAX can be converted to a JUNIOR MAX and even a SENIOR MAX - a concept that offers the owner one engine for an entire kart race career.
